In the use of CNC Flame cutting machine, in addition to know the hardware equipment and master the operation process, we also need to have a certain understanding of the quality stability of wearing parts and accessories. Cutting nozzle is one of the key components of cutting machine, so in the daily use, the operator needs to grasp the common faults and the solving methods.
1. The nozzle and the torch are not combined tightly.
After ignition, the flame is normal, but when open the cutting oxygen valve, the flame immediately extinguish. The reason is that the cutting nozzle and the torch are not combined tightly. The cutting nozzle should be screwed up at this time. If it doesn’t work, remove the cutting nozzle, gently grind the cutting nozzle surface with fine sandpaper until it can be combined tightly with the torch.
2. Keep the nozzle passage clean.
The cutting nozzle passage shall be kept clean and smooth, and the dirt in the channel shall be cleaned at any moment with a needle.
3. Treatment of flame extinction.
After the ignition, when the oxygen regulating valve is screwed to adjust the flame, the flame extinguish immediately. The reason is that the gas channel has dirt or the straw and the bell mouth is not in strict contact, and the nozzle coat and the inner mouth do not match properly. At this point, the straw nut should be tightened; if it is invalid, the straw shall be removed, and the dirt in the gas passages shall be cleaned and the gap between the outer sleeve and the inner sleeve of the cutting nozzle shall be adjusted and tightened.
4. Choose the right cutting nozzle.
The proper cutting nozzle shall be selected according to the thickness of the cutting workpiece. When assembling the cutting nozzle, the inner nozzle and the outer nozzle must be kept concentric so as to ensure that the cutting oxygen jet is located in the center of the preheated flame. When install the cutting nozzle, pay attention to tighten the nut.
